4 WAYS TO LEVEL UP YOUR OFFERINGS & LEVEL UP YOUR IMPACT AS A YOGA TEACHER

WANT TO MAKE A BIGGER IMPACT AND GROW A SUSTAINABLE YOGA BIZ??

As a new yoga teacher the first place to start is teaching classes in a studio, your local gym, maybe running your own classes, hiring a space or on zoom. These are all great places to start and essential for building community, building your confidence and refining your teaching. However there is a lot more to teaching yoga than teaching just classes and if you want to create transformation and change with in your students and in your community. Also if you’re looking to build a sustainable yoga business you need to look for ideas that go beyond the yoga class.

In this post we’re going to discuss ways you can step outside of the yoga class to make a bigger impact with offerings that are levelling up in more ways than one….

Ok so lets start to think bigger but before we do lets address the elephant in the room….I know that when you start to think bigger this is when the inner critic and imposter syndrome can rear its ugly head, telling you that you’re not ready or you don’t know enough, BUT THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.

I also know this is quite possibly going to be quite uncomfortable create something outside of your comfort zone BUT as a yoga teacher one thing that is key is - ‘To get comfortable with being uncomfortable’ - this is where big growth is going to happen and it will mean that you can show up and serve your students in a bigger more meaningful way.

You have so much to share from where you are today. If you have completed you’re 200HR teacher training and you have a regular yoga practice yourself and you are passionate about helping your students and sharing these teachings, you already have so much you can share.

HERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS TO START TO SPARK YOUR CREATIVITY, CREATE A SPIDER DIAGRAM & START TO BRAINSTORM

  • What are you passionate about in yoga practice?

  • What are your students asking you mostly about?

  • What are the things you would like to expand your knowledge around?

  • What gap do you see in your students' knowledge that needs to be filled?

  • What did you struggle with the most when you first started your yoga practice?

These questions are a great place to start to build a list of ideas to work with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is SO MUCH opportunity out there to serve your students & community in different ways that will not only make a bigger impact in their lives, this will also level up your income meaning you can teach less but deliver offerings that are of higher quality.

As a new teacher I know you have a vision to make a bigger difference in the future and lives of your students and to develop an abundant yoga career. So here are 4 ways you can start to do that today...

1.WORKSHOPS

A workshop allows you to create an experience in which you have more time to break things down and teach around something specific. Helping your students improve and up level their practice in some way. When thinking about a workshop topic think about the things that your students are asking about regularly and think of topics that you can confidently expand on. Some examples could be a workshop on a specific pose or sequence like Surya Namaskar or looking at something from yogic philosophy like the chakras. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. A 4 WEEK
COURSE

Creating a 4 week course is a great way to break down a bigger topic over a period of 4 weeks. For example, this could be a beginning course or a course on the yamas or niyamas. You can take your students on a journey into a larger realm of transformation by fleshing the topic out and offering something different each week. You could even layer this with homework or reading suggestions so you can take your students even further.

3. YOGA EVENTS IN PERSON AND ONLINE - SUPPER CLUB, DAY RETREATS

This is a fantastic approach to build community while also providing a unique experience with a higher ticket price than your regular classes. You'll be spending more time with your students, allowing you to develop deeper relationships and provide a multi-layered experience that provides deeper transformation. It’s also an opportunity to collaborate with other teachers, educators or brands and businesses that you love and resonate with.

4. 1-2-1 PRIVATE LESSONS

1-2-1 private lessons are a great way to create a big transformation for your students working with them 1-2-1 means that you can offer them solutions to their specific needs and wants. Here you could offer 6-10 week packages in which you work on specific goals or teaching them each week with regular check ins in how they are feeling, what they want and need for the sessions and what they are loving and what they perhaps want less of.

There are many different avenues you can go down, all you need is courage, willpower and your imagination. So what are you waiting for?

Which one are you most inspired to create?
